Maintain a high GPA in high school. Take honors and AP classes. Do extracurricular activities & volunteer work. I suggest applying early action (non-binding) to get a head start.
ACT: 29 SAT: 1950 Female
I got into the University because I am JewishJul 21 2008Finance
I got into the University because I am Jewish. Fordham is a catholic school and needs to be diverse for statistics. I had very good SAT scores but my GPA was only 3.2 which was way below the average. Just say you are some other religion than christian and your chances definitely go up.
SAT: 2040 Male
I had a mid 1300/2000 on the SAT andMar 16 2008English
I had a mid 1300/2000 on the SAT and around a 94 average- these grades seem about average amongst the people I asked. Also, get involved in school and write a good essay!
ACT: 28 SAT: 1980 Female

I was class president, had a 1260 on the SATs was around top 40% in a public suburban high school, (i withheld my rank) with a 3.5 GPA on a 4.3 scale. And I had a lot of extra circular activities
Fordham is getting very hard to gain admittance toMay 01 2006Journalism
Fordham is getting very hard to gain admittance to. Some of my friends who are high school seniors this year, have gotten into NYU but not Fordham. The acceptance rate this year was in the 43-45% range with average sat's being in the mid 1200's. You don't have to be valedictorian of your class, however you should have around a 1200+ sat and a 3.4+ gpa. Anything less than that, and you'll likely be looking at a rejection/waitlist.
